Re: Fracture clinic: no bone growth so new full leg plaster cast for Christmas
Annette T    7:44am Nov 18 2019

Oh I feel exactly what you are going through and Iím so sorry. I was in a short leg cast for 12 weeks but luckily my bones never moved so I didnít need a full leg cast during my non surgery days. I just had surgery Thursday and Iím in a full leg knee immobilizer, which is probably the equivalent of a full leg cast and itís pure torture. Heavy and awkward and my leg is in so much pain from surgery still. I can feel every incision site. We have to keep our spirits up any way possible because if not we are likely to lose our minds. Seriously 😒
Hang in there! You are definitely not alone. I hope there is a lot of bone growth at your next appointment so this torture is worthwhile. Otherwise donít wait as long as I did to have surgery.

Good luck 🍀
Annette
