Kept meaning to come back and say, for encouragement of any other runners: you CAN get properly back to running after a broken leg. I'm 4 and a half years on, with a setback from a stress-fractured pelvis at nearly 1 year post break (getting enough physio to regain full ankle mobility is essential), but I've now run, since the broken ankle, more than 90 marathons and ultramarathons at distances up to 100 miles, and including 10-marathons-in-10-days and 10x50K ultramarathons in 10 days. So don't give up hope!

ORIF plate 18 June. 25 July start PWB in boot, 7 Aug PWB without boot. 14th Aug few steps FWB. 9 Sept 10-steps jog 25 Sept: PT says go run!
