Thanks so much for replying :)
The accident was end of last summer so I guess pretty recent and he’s doing really well, I think. He’s not back to playing sports or anything yet, but he’s walking ok except maybe first thing in the morning or end of the day when tired sometimes he limps a little, but very little, but I guess that will pass.
We’ve only been together about a year, so I probably don’t know enough about his character yet. But he hasn’t said much about the accident or his feelings since. Maybe he’s ok and there’s nothing to say but the few things he’s doing now makes me wonder if he is keeping this feelings bottled up. Saying that, he’s ok having his legs touched, so maybe I’m overthinking the other stuff!!
I try to not ask straight out ‘how are your legs?’ because it seems pretty obvious they are better and better, and the I guess if the other stuff worries me, I’ll just have to find a subtle way to ask about those. I jus try to be supportive - asking if he’s tired if we are our walking etc etc, encouraging his physio/exercises etc.
I guess, gently does it, right? :)
Thanks so much,
