I am glad to find this resource and appreciate the tips so much. They really helped me through my first 10 days. I am now in the stage of feeling a bit more energy and trying to plan for my "new normal." I have a few questions for folks with more experience:
1) I bought an iwalk2.0 but am finding it difficult to learn to use comfortably; curious if it is worth working on more? I do also have a knee scooter which is awesome for around the house
2) Has anyone learned to drive with left foot (in USA) or is that just a terrible idea?
3) My biggest impediment, after not driving, is how TIRED I get -- I can work for a couple of hours and then am pretty exhausted. Does this get better with habituation to the cast or is it part of the actual bone healing process?
4) I am feeling so off balance in the rest of my body. Has anyone done PT before getting their cast off, for the "good" side? I am excited to try the video Linked somewhere for exercise with a broken leg and some chair yoga -- any other tips for not ending up with other injuries caused by being on off kilter?
Thank you for everyone's generosity in sharing their experiences, it has been so helpful as I have been adapting to this surprising change in my winter plans!
