This is more generally about relationships than injury but opening up direct communication and encouraging your BF to reflect and express his feelings is a good thing, about everything! If you have any interest, there is a documentary called ďthe mask you live inĒ about the pressure men get to suppress most emotion (except anger) and it could be an interesting spark for conversation... good luck! I definitely donít like feeling so dependent/vulnerable and am old-married so can imagine it is awkward in a new relationship but also just a total part of all our lives (to care / be cared for) ó and in so many ways the best part of our lives.
