Re: Slipped on ice out jogging - Spiral Fracture on Tibia and Fibula

Hello Marina!

I just posted an update on the discussion forum on my progress. Like you, it was slow progress in the beginning. I wasnt allowed to put any weight on my leg for 6 weeks after surgery, not that I wanted too anyways. LOL.

I'm now back to work, 100% weight bearing, and am able to resume most of my activities, besides sports and weight lifting. I do have a noticeable limp when I first start walking and have considerable swelling in my leg. The swelling is located around my ankle, lower tibia, and foot. It doesn't really bother me much, except that it looks kinda weird beside my good leg. I take extra strength tylenol for pain management whenever my leg aches and bothers me.

How are you doing? Are you 100% weight bearing yet? Are you able to resume most of your normal activities? I'm really interested to hear about your progress.

Sending positive vibes you way.

Mike
