 My story

Just 6 weeks in and feeling very down.
My story, had just taken my Daughters German shepherd dog for a walk.
When wee got home I went to open back door so could get to water and she bolted past me and knocked me flying down an oversized step.
I went to Hospital because I couldn't stand, they X-rayed my Ankles saying nothing was wrong maybe just a sprained Ankle. They tried to put me in a Moon boot but the pain was awful. So they xrayed again and saw I had fractured my Fibula. They put on a cast and sent my X-rays to another local Hospital that had a orthopaedic unit. Next day I get a call saying I need to go in a very likely need an operation. When I arrive they take cast off and say I need to do a stress test on my Ankle but I couldn't do it as you had to climb up 2 steps on X-ray machine?
They sent me home and made an appointment for following week to re try.
Same thing happened still couldn't put any weight on right Ankle.
So theye booked me in for a MRI, 2 weeks pass I have MRI.
They phone me next day to say I needed a operation!
So 4 weeks after the accident I eventually have operation.
Turns out I had a fractured Tibiofibular and fractured Fibular, torn ligaments.
Now in cast for 4 weeks and then into Moonboot for another 4 weeks.
Feel like I'm going stir crazy...cast driving me nuts.
So pleased I've just found this forum.
