I hope everything goes well for you during your move. This will be stressful as well as exciting, but it sounds like you have a great attitude to help get you thru.
Remember that you are actually still very early in your recovery... TPF is that severe. When I read about how you take stairs it reminds me of how I was at about nine months. Two years later it's still awkward but I've been doing it so long that it's become natural. This will likely happen to you too.
If I may say so... you may want to limit how much time you spend walking. Yes, exercise is good for you, and it's probably helping to rebuild your muscles that had weakened while you were NWB. But the more stress you put on your knee now will wear what you have down even faster. My OS recommended passive exercise and says if I take it easy I may be able to put off the TKR even longer than the expected ten years.
Well, you'll be very busy in the next few weeks so remember to be good to yourself now and then. Good luck! I hope you find a good doctor in your new homeland.
