Wow! I can't believe it's been 11 weeks. Last weekend I thought I was at week 9 but I checked the calendar today and I'm now at 11 weeks. Sometimes it feels like it's been forever.
I can't wait to walk normally. I'm using one crutch (sometimes) but have noticed when I walk without it my foot turns in. My chiropractor (who is the best!) told me that is due to the muscle not being used while I was in the cast and the boot. He said it could take up to 6 months to walk normally. I see him every week for my back and he is very knowledgeable. He is always willing to answer questions for me. I tend to ask him more because I see him weekly and I only see the OS every 3-4 weeks.
I have gained weight as I have not been as active since the break. I also tend to be a "stress eater" so I snack alot when I am feeling down. I so want to be able to go for a walk at night with my husband. Luckily we live in Florida so it is still nice right now. My doctor has said that I can ride my bicycle so I guess I should start doing that.
I work full time Monday thorugh Friday, 8 to 5 but have also worked part time at Bath and Body Works for years. I haven't been able to work since my injury and I am really missing it. Hopefully after my appointment on Oct 19th he will release me so I can work during the busy holiday season.
Hope everyone is healing! Thank you all for your support.
