on april 10 th of last year which ironically was also my moms birthday i got hit by a hit and run driver. it was dark, his/her lights were off, they were speeding, (according to witnesess going about 100km) they also ran a red light. i was with five friends... everything happened so fast, my one friend jay saw my body flying through the air out of the corner of his eye... when i landed they all ran up thinking i was a stranger. i was thrown 20 feet high and launched 60 feet into oncoming traffic, i then rolled for 20 feet before finally coming to stop. at this point everyone was in total hysterics, i was unconcious... the ambulance came within 3 min and carted me off to the hospital. no one knew the extent of my injuries or if i would even live for that matter... woah!! happy birthday mom!! my injuries were non life threatening but have definately been life altering... i suffered a broken pelvis in 3 spots, broken left tibia in 3 spots and a broken right ankle in 2 spots. i also tore ligaments in my both knees and am getting mri's done in a month. miraculously no damage done to my neck or brain!! it could have been way worse and every day i think of how i lucky i am.... so as it stands now everything has healed except for my tibia. i have a cane now, which is way better then those *%^&$ crutches and wheelchair....
