Hi Robert, I fractured my fib on the same day as you 9th December, so I'm coming up to 7 weeks. I have a Weber b fracture to the fib was put in a back slab for the first 8 days told not to wb. Went back on the 18th and had xrays told to have a stand up x-ray to see if I needed surgery or not and if it was a stable fracture which I did stand up holding on putting all my weight on the bad leg, I was told all good no surgery needed and to put a walking cast on with shoe so I could weight bear had that on for 5 weeks, wasn't that sore to walk on just at night and in the morning. Was back on Monday at the fracture clinic took my cast off was shaking and panic y had more xrays consultant said looks really well and I can start walking with no cast or boot I was in shock. It's been 4 days now without cast and feels very weird I'm still on the crutches but putting my foot down to walk it's hurts a bit still and swells up so elevating and using ice packs, hoping to here from the physio soon, I'm just so worried that I won't walk again without crutches but I have to be patient and not rush things. Hope yours is going well.
