Take it slowly. I'm 15 weeks out from a femoral neck fracture that happened running a marathon. The hardest adjustment was going from running everyday to being flat on my back and moving only with assistance! The ER doctor was the one who told me to be very aware of depression during my initial recovery. She said when you are active and suffer an injury where you lose your ability to move, you are at a high risk for developing depression. Tears rolled into my ears every night as I was on my back, dying to roll over, and wide awake because of the pain medication. It passes, you will sleep, you will become more than one broken leg and you will walk again. I took my first painful but unassisted steps yesterday...what a "step!" It's hard to believe it's been almost 4 months but being a "patient patient" is key. good luck!
