I agree with Jill. I am 6 weeks out of a tib/fib fx (fell on the ice) and I still use a walker in my apartment. I have crutches for "out and about" and a wheelchair at work. I never thought that I would need this much equipment at 35! Anyway, the walker really is much more stable in my opinion. The only drawback is that you cannot use it for stairs.
