Sorry to hear about your sledding accident! So are you over in the eastern states. All we have over her in Washington state is lots of rain and wind.

I also have a compound fracture of the right tibia and fibula but it sounds like you have it much worse with the broken ankle too. I'm going into the 15th week. I find it interesting that each Dr has different techniques on mending broken bones.
I have a rod and screws holding my tibia together, the fibula was left to mend itself. On the 12th week I was finally allowed to PWB, therefore I'm still using crutches which are causing back/shoulder problems.

Do you still have an open wound? I find it amazing on how long it takes the tibia to heal. Anyway, the best of luck to you in healing. Take your meds, eat a diet high in calcium and take care of yourself!
